Who We Serve
The People’s Health & Wellness Clinic provides health care for people who might not be able to get care elsewhere because they cannot afford it.
You are eligible for our services if you:
- Don’t have any health insurance
- Have health insurance that doesn’t pay for certain services, such as naturopathy or massage therapy
- Have catastrophic-only health insurance that does not pay for primary or preventive care
- Meet our income guidelines (300% of the Federal Poverty Level—proof of income required)
In addition, you may be eligible for other health care programs. We can assist you with the enrollment process, and continue to provide care during the transition to other health care providers.

Service Area
We generally describe our service area as the 20 towns of Washington County, plus the three Orange County towns of Orange, Washington and Williamstown. All of these towns vote us money out of their municipal budgets. However, as the northernmost of the nine free clinics in the state, we actually draw patients from a much wider area—particularly Lamoille and Caledonia Counties.
