Who We Are
For more than 30 years, the People’s Health & Wellness Clinic has been a lifeline for Central Vermonters who are uninsured or unable to afford the high cost of medical care.
Founded on the belief that health care is a human right, the Clinic has provided thousands of patients with free, high-quality essential services—ranging from primary and preventive care to dental cleanings, wellness programs, and chronic disease management. In a region where access can be a barrier and compassion is a necessity, PHWC stands as a trusted community institution—connecting neighbors with care, dignity, and hope when they need it most.
The People’s Health & Wellness Clinic provides free, high-quality health care to uninsured and underinsured adults in Central Vermont. Our services include primary and preventive medical care, routine dental cleanings and procedures, and limited mental health support. Patients can receive care for chronic and acute conditions, access medications, get referrals to specialists, and receive dental services such as cleanings, extractions, x-rays, and cavity stabilization.
Beyond medical and dental care, PHWC helps patients navigate the health care system and connect with critical social service programs. Our team assists with insurance enrollment, referrals, and accessing benefits like food assistance, housing support, and other community resources. We understand that health is about more than a doctor’s visit—it’s about making sure people have the tools they need to live well.

Make An Appointment
The People’s Health & Wellness Clinic sees patients by appointment only. We do not accept walk-ins.
Medical appointments are available Tuesday through Thursday, and dental appointments are offered Monday through Thursday. The Clinic is closed on Fridays and weekends.
